We are deeply saddened by the recent events in and continue to work closely with our office, partners and friends in Israel. Israel is a resilient and strong nation, and we know that this will pass and travelers will once again fill the country. Right now, it is more important than ever to be a voice in the darkness and stand in solidarity. The best way we can support Israel and her people is to postpone and not cancel travel, and to make plans to go as soon as travel resumes. Together we can make a difference!

With our Spring Adults Only tours home, we’re excited to announce the start of our summer season of Family Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tours! Families from across the country are going to experience all of Israel. From Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and Eilat to Tiberias and Tel Aviv. Of course, the highlight of the tour is the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. May 8, 2023 Tour visiting Northern Israel
Our May 8th Adults Only group is now touring all of Northern Israel including Tiberias, the Golan Heights, Safed, a Golan Heights Winery, a boat ride on Sea of Galilee, visiting Kibbutz Ein Gev, taking a cable car to the grottoes at Rosh Hanikra, Akko, Haifa and Caesaria. With Israel Discovery Tours, you see all of Israel. They sent back some pictures and even a little video to let us know their having an amazing experience!

In Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, where we have a chance to walk in the footsteps of history. Welcome Home!
We’re thrilled to announce that as of Nov. 1, 2021, Israel is open for individual and group tourism.
Under the previous “permitted group” program we were able to send our Oct 25, 2021 Adults Only tour.
The group has been touring the whole country and as you can see from the pictures – having a fantastic time. They’ve been able to see and do everything on our comprehensive itinerary including Jerusalem, the Dead Sea/Masada, Eilat, The North and Tel Aviv.

Fall 2019
Autumn in Israel – the perfect time to explore and tour. Our Fall 2019 Adults Only tours had a fabulous time touring, eating (of course!), swimming, shopping and experiencing all of Israel. From all the feedback we received an amazing time was had by all our passengers. There really is nothing like our tour. Starting with 5 nights in Jerusalem our passengers get to experience the city in an in-depth way. The Old City, Western Wall, Kotel Tunnel Tour, Tree planting at the JNF forest, Chagall Windows, Tower of David are just a few of the highlights they visited. Of course, no tour of Jerusalem is complete without a visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s national memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. All of our tours participate in a private memorial service.

Leaving Jerusalem, the group travelled south to Masada and the Dead Sea. One of the most important sites in Israel, Masada, symbolizes the spirit of the Jewish people. An overnight at our Dead Sea Resort allows us to fully enjoy this unique region. We eliminate the exhausting pre-dawn trip from Jerusalem to Masada and back again.
From Masada they continued further south to Eilat. Along the way the group stopped at the Ramon Crater and had a special visit with the Bedouins to enjoy their hospitality and learn about their culture. After the thrill and emotion of Jerusalem and Masada, Eilat is the perfect time to relax and enjoy the beach or take an options day trip to Petra, Jordan.

After short flight, the group discovered the amazing North of Israel. Caesaria, Haifa, Safed, a jeep tour in the Golan Heights and the lovely seaside town of Tiberias. Then it was time to dance and sing aboard our “fun boat” as we cruise across the Sea of Galilee to meet Kibbutzniks and learn about the history and lifestyle of these Israeli pioneers.
Their two week Israel experience culminated with a stay in Israel’s modern city of Tel Aviv where there is never a dull moment in this thriving metropolis. The group toured the famous Ayalon Institute (Bullet Factory) and the incredible Palmach Museum. They all enjoyed Shabbat at leisure with plenty of time to shop, enjoy the hotel pool or take an unhurried stroll along the Mediterranean Sea.
No Israel Discovery Tour would be complete without a fantastic Farewell Dinner where the group celebrated their new connections to friends and to Israel.

2015 Adults Only Tours
We returned from our trip two weeks ago and still have not stopped talking about how wonderful it was. It was the trip of a lifetime. Being a tour member of IDT and as guide always said, “being part of the IDT family” was much more than we ever expected. We never could have anticipated what we saw, how we were treated and the way everything just flowed. We never had to worry about our luggage, or accommodations and food – that was beyond fabulous at every stop. At every meal we said “this cannot be topped!” We were wrong, the next meal was even better. We are still talking about the dinner at the restaurant on the Sunday evening before we left for the airport!
