We are deeply saddened by the recent events in and continue to work closely with our office, partners and friends in Israel. Israel is a resilient and strong nation, and we know that this will pass and travelers will once again fill the country. Right now, it is more important than ever to be a voice in the darkness and stand in solidarity. The best way we can support Israel and her people is to postpone and not cancel travel, and to make plans to go as soon as travel resumes. Together we can make a difference!

With our Spring Adults Only tours home, we’re excited to announce the start of our summer season of Family Bar/Bat Mitzvah Tours! Families from across the country are going to experience all of Israel. From Jerusalem to the Dead Sea and Eilat to Tiberias and Tel Aviv. Of course, the highlight of the tour is the Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Imagine the incredible thrill of having your child be Bar/Bat Mitzvah atop Masada – a place that symbolizes the spirit of the Jewish people. It’s truly an unforgettable experience.

After a very successful 2022, our first year back since the pandemic, Israel Discovery Tours is proud to start our 2023 Season. With Adults Only tours in the Spring & Fall and Family Bar/Bat Mitzvah tours in the Summer and Winter, we are looking forward to you joining us this year to celebrate Israel’s 75th birthday. There couldn’t be a better time to visit.
This year’s groups will be filled with those who have been waiting patiently (some for 3 years) to travel. They will experience all of Israel with the very best itineraries, guides, drivers, staff, and accommodations. From the biblical landscapes of the Judean Hills to the bustling streets of Tel Aviv, Israel is filled with historical, cultural, and religious significance – something for everyone!
In Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, where we have a chance to walk in the footsteps of history. At the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, we relax and rejuvenate ourselves in the salty waters while taking in the stunning natural scenery. In Eilat, if a yacht cruise on the Red Sea isn’t exciting enough for you, a day trip to the amazing ancient city of Petra, Jordan is an optional excursion that will surely leave you awed. The city of Tiberias on the shores of the Sea of Galilee is our base as we tour Northern Israel. The mystical city of Safed, the rolling hills and vineyards of the Golan Heights, a fun boat ride including an Israeli dancing and a fascinating visit to Kibbutz with home hospitality are just a few of the highlights you will treasure. The tour concludes in Tel Aviv with its museums, shops, galleries, and the beautiful Mediterranean beaches. A Farewell Party puts the icing on the cake of the perfect Israel tour experience.

Welcome Home!
We’re thrilled to announce that as of Nov. 1, 2021, Israel is open for individual and group tourism.
Under the previous “permitted group” program we were able to send our Oct 25, 2021 Adults Only tour.
The group has been touring the whole country and as you can see from the pictures – having a fantastic time. They’ve been able to see and do everything on our comprehensive itinerary including Jerusalem, the Dead Sea/Masada, Eilat, The North and Tel Aviv.
We’re even hearing from our passengers during the tour:

December 2019 Family Tour
Our families have just returned from the completely sold out December tour and what an amazing time was had by all! This year’s departure was even more special as our group was touring during Hannukah.
Starting out in Jerusalem the group spent three fabulous nights at the world famous Waldorf Astoria and toured of all the important sites in this magical city including the Old City, Western Wall, Tower of David, the Davidson Center, Mt. Herzl and much, much more. No tour of Jerusalem is complete without a visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s national memorial the victims of the Holocaust where everyone participated in a meaningful and emotional private memorial service
From Jerusalem it was on to Northern Israel. So much to see along the way – The aqueducts at Caesaria, the Bahai Gardens in Haifa, and an amazing cable car ride down to the magnificent grottoes at Rosh Hanikra. While in the North the group visited the holy city of Safed with its artists’ colony (great shopping!), the Golan Heights and a fun filled stop at the Gan Garoo Australian Park to see the kangaroos and koalas.
Then from the North to the Dead Sea for the Bat/Bat Mitzvah ceremony. But before the big event, the group had a fantastic desert jeep ride, a visit with the Bedouins and an “unsinkable” swim in the Dead Sea. Up early for the momentous day, our families ascended Masada by cable car. On this historic spot that symbolizes the spirit of the Jewish people, the celebrants became Bat/Bat Mitzvah. A beautiful service as the sun rose over the desert landscape.
No rest for the weary as the families made their way to vibrant Tel Aviv – the “Capital of Cool”. While there the group visited the Ayalon Institute (Bullet Factory), a fantastic hands-on archeological dig at Beit Guvrin and the Palmach Museum.
Of course, an Israel Discovery Family Bar/Bat Mitzvah tour would not be complete without our gala banquet- a festive celebration with live music, dancing and candle lighting ceremony. What a fantastic way to commemorate an important milestone.
So many of the families called us the minute they returned to thank us for this once in a lifetime experience. It means so much to us as everyone at Israel Discovery Tours is committed to providing the finest Israel-Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience.
